Michelle Williams Opens Up About The Death Of Heath Ledger
I am happy to report that for the first time ever, David and I will be spending Xmas together. Yes, in the almost 5 years that we have been together, we have never been able to spend Xmas together because one or both of us jetted off across the country to be with our parents. Thru a series of circumstances, David decided to stay here in LA with me … and we are very much looking forward to spending our first Xmas together.
We spent part of our evening yesterday picking out decorations for the tiny little Xmas tree we bought. My hope is that we will buy special new ornaments for our tree as the years progress and as our trees get larger. To be honest, we aren’t planning anything lavish for our Xmas night together … but we are looking forward to spending some time celebrating the season as a couple ;)
Last night, I made my way out to the Troubadour in West Hollywood, CA to see the amazing trip hop artist Tricky in concert:
I’ve been a fan of Tricky for years and have seen him a few times before in concert. He did not disappoint. His gravelly voice was in fine form last night and the sold out house just loved every second he was on stage. Unfortch, he decided to keep the lights down real low so I wasn’t able to snap any photos … but the show was fantastic. Last night’s concert was my last show of 2010 … not a bad way to end a year of great shows, let me tell you.
Today … more Xmas prep … I wanna run out and get some stockings and candy canes … you know, the usual. I hope your Xmas prep is going well … since it’s the night before the night before Xmas, we are all running out of time ;)

Too Darn Hot For Anything Goes!
Yes! Yes! Yes!!!!!!!
Give them that old razzle dazzle! Spirit fingers! Tapping toes! And all that jazz!!!!
Sutton Foster is a star! And the new Broadway revival of Anything Goes she headlines is just as fabulous as she is! We were lucky enough to see it on Saturday, our last day in NYC.
Don't just take our word [...]
Sucks! This sounds like such a pain!
John Mayer was forced to postpone the release of his latest album, Born and Raised, after discovering a granuloma above his vocal cords, and took this blog yesterday to announce that he successfully underwent surgery to take care of the issue, and is now on complete vocal rest for the next month - and possibly longer!
He writes:
Hey all…
I wanted to give you an update on the granuloma just above my vocal cord. I had surgery this afternoon to remove it and am now on complete vocal rest for a month or more. It’s been a very long process in waiting to see if time was an alternative to surgery, but even given two weeks’ voice rest (along with many other approaches), there was no change for the better.
I should be frustrated but I can’t seem to stop thinking about beautiful things… I never thought I’d be wishing I could do what I love again; I stay in at night, picking guitar parts off of records and dreaming of playing on the big stage. The only difference between now and when I was 18 is that now I have this beautiful, meaningful record waiting for me when I can sing it.
Until then, I’m taking off. Going to travel the country, look and listen.
sincere love
JM
P.S. thanks to those who sent birthday wishes, especially those who contributed to the Happy Birthday video… I streamed it to TV and let it run like a music playlist for the whole 30 minutes on my birthday. You’re the best.
Well, we have to give him credit for maintaining such a positive attitude during this setback!
But ultimately, we're happy to know that he understands that it's exactly just what it is - a setback - and with a little patience and R & R, he'll be back on his game and ready to release the new album!
Take care of yourself, John!

Watch: Prometheus Releases A First Movie Trailer
Last night I made my way out to the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood, CA (again) to see the new animated film The Adventures of TinTin: The Secret of the Unicorn. I’ve been on a movie-seeing kick lately so I figured I’d keep the ball rolling. Altho I don’t know very much about Hergé‘s boy detective/reporter character TinTin (and his trusty pooch Snowy), I knew enough about him to be intrigued by this film. By and large, I enjoyed the film … read on to find out what I think of this animated incarnation of TinTin.
I only really have passing knowledge of TinTin, having read maybe 1 or 2 books in my youth, but the idea of an animated film directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson, well … I kinda had to see this film for myself. All in all, TinTin is very enjoyable and fun. It’s full of great adventure and fantastic animation. The pace moves really quickly right from the start so … you have to keep up and pay attention. While I enjoyed it as an adult, I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed it as a child. I dunno … the story feels pretty much geared toward adults who want to feel like a kid again. Jamie Bell is excellent as the voice of TinTin and Daniel Craig voices the villainous Saccharine very well. There are times when the “realness” of the animation looks … creepy … but for the most part, I enjoyed it very much in this film. I guess TinTin is a film that I would recommend to friends but it’s not something that I think I need to see again. The ending sets up a sequel very obviously so … maybe I’ll just wait until that film comes out to spend more time with TinTin and snowy.
And speaking of films that I would see repeatedly, I’m heading out to see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo again this evening. I simply didn’t get enough when I saw the film on Monday so … I’m going back for viewing #2. Happy Thursday!!

What to Search for and Appear Out For With Affiliate Programs
Here is some info to help you sort via the great and also the poor with affiliate programs:1. Make sure you comprehend the program before you go via the process of signing up and setting up advertising and product sales promotions. For instance, if payout levels are so higher that you simply need 5 or much more sales prior to you receive any commission, you may wish to rethink your plans in the event you need additional income now. Some affiliate applications pay instantly after a sale is made.
And with some affiliate programs involving blogs, to be able to qualify, your weblog needs to meet particular needs, like having the entire weblog posts display on the home web page and never just excerpts. So verify in advance.2. Look for good, quality items within the affiliate program. No one desires junk, even when its not yours that you simply are promoting. And individuals do keep in mind where they store. So focus on maintaining a great relationship and market only great products.
three. Study the affiliate program first to make sure members are generating cash. You are able to begin by studying through testimonials around the affiliate program sites and contacting the people who sent in constructive feedback to see if they are still satisfied and making money.
4. Some affiliate programs spend out beneath 10 %, others spend 50 % and more. If you would like to go decrease following you're established, you may think about changing this strategy later on.five. Choose affiliate applications which have products for the goal market. You want to create certain there is a require for that products, otherwise, youll be losing your time, effort and money with promotions. David Beckham Skateboards With His Sons
Yesterday was a fairly quiet day around here … I spent much of the day relaxing at home while David and his college BFF Diana went shopping all over town. I met up with them after they finished their little outing and we all met up with Josh and Darion for a fun dinner at Gobi Mongolian BBQ in Silverlake, CA:
While I must admit that Gobi isn’t quite as good as my beloved BD’s Mongolian BBQ back home in Detroit, it was a pretty passable runner-up. We all had a great time together.
Tonight, I’m planning to check out Tom Lenk‘s new one-man show at the Comedy Central Theater here in LA … I’m so excited!!

Did Spice Girl Mel B And Hubby Have A Spicy Night With A Stripper?
Did Mel B and her husband decide to spice up their life with a stripper?
An Australian stripper is claiming she spent a night with ex-Spice Girl Mel B and her hubby, Stephen Belafonte.
The couple were in Australia promoting their reality show, and they reportedly met the stripper while making a public appearance at a local [...]
WHY ARE PARENTS STILL BRINGING THEIR CHILDREN TO THESE ESTABLISHMENTS?!
Three masked, armed men held up a California Chuck. E. Cheese Saturday night, herded the 40 employees, customers, and CHILDREN into a storeroom, and held them at gunpoint while others successfully robbed the place!
According to Newark Police Sgt. Manuel Deserpa, they began receiving 911 calls around 10pm, but by the time authorities arrived, the suspects had escaped. Since the men all kept their faces covered, they could not be ID'd.
He explained:
"Our detective division will be following up on this. They will be working this case."
We certainly hope so! These men need to be apprehended and locked up!
We can't even begin to imagine how terrifying this whole ordeal must have been for those poor children.
We think it's about time Chuck E. Cheese just cut their losses and shut down!
There's no way this business is going to survive many more incidents like this!
Thoughts??
